Forget reading; I've got cooking

I've noticed that cooking is slowly creeping in as my major hobby. I don't even do that much of it, but it seems to be the thing that I think about the most when I'm not thinking about school. It amuses B to no end when we come across a dish in a magazine or show, and I decide we should try to make it ourselves. He doesn't enjoy following recipes,

Please tell me that he doesn't consider red pepper flakes to be one of these "rare" ingredients he doesn't want to be cluttering up his cupboards with!

Well, you know, he hasn't used them until now, so obviously he doesn't need them! :p

Actually, I think his objection came from the fact that they were out of refill packages, so we would have had to buy a jar, and he didn't want to spend that much money. Guess I could have purchased them myself...
