B and I are planning to go up to Ottawa on Friday. We too shall be in Ottawa for Canada Day weekend - perhaps we can find a time when we could meet up and meet B.

That would be lovely! Our trip is fairly short--we're going up on Friday and leaving Saturday--but our time there is relatively unstructured.
