If you were using "Better GReader", in particular the "preview" feature, you were probably disappointed that Firefox 4 semi-broke that feature. I certainly was, but not as disappointed as I was when Firefox 5 completely broke it

Firefox 4 annoyancesa_llusiveJune 23 2011, 12:54:41 UTC
Installation of Firefox 4 has put me off using the internet at home - most of my favourite plugins etc aren't compatible yet and there are so many things I really dislike. Debating whether to install 5 yet in case I'm just letting myself in for further similar frustration.
Still I'll get used to whichever eventually I suppose.

In most cases, if an add-on updates to 4 now then it might as well update to 5. They're also pretty much the same UI as far as I can tell. So I don't think it'll be long until 5 is no worse than 4: the reason it's worse for Better GReader is that it's abandoned, I suspect, not because of any really important difference between 4 and 5.
For me, add-on compatibility was the only really annoying thing going from 3 to 4. I had to put back some of the furniture that was removed by default, and get used to the fact that they've moved the "refresh" button and a few other things, but at least that was once only. If I remember correctly, it was a struggle to get some of my privacy settings to apply to 4, too.
For the time being, you could always go back to 3.6, it's still supported with security updates for now. I don't know when that stops, though.

Come to think of it, it might not even be that they moved the "refresh" button, it could just be that my toolbar layout from 3 didn't survive the transition to 4. I can't remember where it is by default in 3.
I could have moved it back instead of getting use to the new position, anyway...
Hmm, gah, now I have installed 5 so can see… but this script is not working for me. I wonder if my Better GReader options need to be tweaked to allow it to work?
I turned off "preview" in Better GReader, but other than that I didn't have to do anything special. I doubt it makes any difference, but check you have the latest GreaseMonkey (0.9.5) maybe.
