[With his first week of school in Luceti over, Kurt has taken advantage of the day off to make something a little special. A pizza, in fact. It's for a special little friend he made, so given how ridiculous this is, he's done his best to make the pizza when Kitty wasn't at home to call him out for it. Once it's done, he'll be appearing (quite ( Read more... )

A demon? They are usually beings of darkness in my world, something of evil. Thus, it is acts and deeds that often determine a demon in my mind. In my travels, demons are never determined by their appearance, for some take guises that deceive the eyes and mind. An example, if you will: a being of evil that I have long fought against, Aku, took on the form of a beautiful woman who was in search of her father. He took advantage of my very compassion and want to help people to take away a chance for me to return to my own time. This knack for deception is one key trait I have found amongst demonkind. Is this of assistance to you?

Ah... perhaps. What would you say of people claiming that there are demons here that are not evil. Do you think it might be a deception?

Perhaps deception, or perhaps like many things, there exceptions. It would not be beyond the imagination to say that there are demons with kindness in their souls just as there are men with evil in their hearts and minds. I have seen much in my journey, yet I cannot say I have seen everything. I merely speak of what I have witnessed.

Yeah, I guess that's true. [It still... doesn't fit with anything he believes. But in this place, where nothing is right, maybe that doesn't matter.] It's just hard to imagine, that's all.

Yeah, so I've heard. Some are apparently not even remotely evil. [He doesn't sound convinced.]

And--well? That depends on your definition of evil. It's all one big circle of dependence.

Evil isn't hard to define. What do you mean be dependence?

Just call it curiosity. Some girl named Etna claimed to be a demon.

[It takes her a little while to reply, as she just stares with her eyes narrowed at the picture, not sure what to think. She recognizes his voice, but.... She manages to keep her voice like nothing is wrong.]

Depends on how much of a variety you can come up with.

Variety? What do you mean?

I've seen one that was a ten-foot-tall fly. I've seen another that looked like a frog, but its mouth was even bigger. I've seen ones that look like goddesses, and ones that look like animals. The worst were the Asura.

Oh. [That's... not what he was expecting.] That's some variety, then. What about the ones that looked like... goddesses?
