A Conundrum

 On the one hand, HMRC are apparently too thick to correctly process my taxes, and I don't want to pay them more than I should. On the other, I don't know if £30 is worth the hassle of fighting them over, and there is a risk that they will somehow get it even more wrong than they already have..
