This sort of reminds me of the conversation I tried to have with this post-stroke guy with aphasia last night. He was supposed to be a whiz at the "communication board" he brought with him, but it turned out not so much. My co-worker got frustrated and called the charge nurse in, namely me, like I could decipher whatever it was he was trying to tell us. I played a ton of guessing games and options before I decided he just wanted to change position.

The hilarious thing is that at San Diego Comic Con we had a lot of Joker and Batman costumes this year, and there was one Batman who got up to ask a question of the comic creators and did it in "The Batman voice." The audience all nearly died laughing.

LOL! Oh, how perfect! Comic Con is JUST the right place for that sort of thing to go over great, too. :D

And OMG I know what you mean about the aphasic guy. After my grandpa's stroke I was called upon to "interpret" for him to everyone, because of course being a nurse means I'm a mindreader. *eyeroll*
