I say let your daughter pick out what she wants. At my daughter's preschool (there are 5 year olds who go also) there is lots of Dora, Hello Kitty, Spongebob, and Cars stuff. I think it's never too early to let your girl know that what SHE likes is most important. A way to build up her self esteem.
