"Someone's in a foul mood," Anthony said, laughing. He'd come up to send a letter off to his da, and had found Remy abusing the animals. "What's the deal, pal?" he asked, comfortably. He remembered Remy - same year, different house. Knew he'd been in the Ravenclaw dormitory, too.
He found another owl and it obeyed him sweetly as he strapped a letter on. "If you're nice to them," he continued conversationally, "They do a much better job for you."
Remy grunted non committedly and leant against the window, lighting up a cigarette and shrugging. "Maybe maybe, but that one's always been a right little bastard to me. I think it likes destroying my hands. Sadistic little thing."
He grinned wryly at Anthony, offering a cigarette generously. "It's Anthony, right? I know you. You're Dannys mate."
"Mate, I don't think you can smoke in the owlery," Tony said, laughing. He waved a hand to send the owl off. "Yeah, it's Anthony. Anthony Wilder. And I think you're more Parker's mate than I am, if you take my meanin'."
"I'm smoking out the window aren't I? And you won't tattle on me, eh?" Remy grinned and shrugged, not caring either way whether he was caught or not; being told off for smoking was the least of his problems, really. He scratched lightly at his cheek, nails running gently over the long dark scar there.
He lifted an eyebrow at Anthony's last comment, eyeing him curiously. "Sorry? Don't get you."
