They were always going to end the story with a baby. In the original drafts they had a baby before Sam and Chelsea even got married.... but that is not how that worked out.

I've been marching toward this ending for so many chapters going "ohhhh crap. I haven't written this long a story in a very long time. The longer this goes on the better the the ending has to be....oooohhhhh crap."

So good thing that worked out then.

I just found out about your story - it was referenced in one of the recent newsletters. any chance for a pdf or doc ? my eyes are not very good, and your story is a long one - and quite delicious by the comments you got ! ;o)
