I stumbled across your portrayal of Pietro in the xi_rpg community and just wanted to say that I think you do a great job. If the so-called professionals characterized this well, I would still be reading comics (and for the right reasons). I think Quicksilver is particularly tricky because he has such a *distinct* personality, and the multiple canon interpretations and events (for better and worse) have muddied the water to toxic levels, but I applaud your work here. Thanks for an amusing and respectable representation of one of my favorite Marvel heroes - I hope you keep writing!
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! Pietro's one of my favorite Marvel characters and I have a wonderful time playing him at XI.
He does have a fair amount of conflicting characterization, but muddling through it and pulling out pieces I like and applying them to the AU has proved really fun. Also, I get to ignore the random bouts of plot induced crazy. That's definitely a plus.
Anyway, if you ever do have anything you find iffy about my interpretation, please don't hesitate to tell me about it. It's so rare to find a fellow Quicksilver fan, and I would love to hear any thoughts you might have in the future.
Thanks again!
PS - skdfj Hope this doesn't come across as awkward/creepy, but do you mind if I friend you with my personal journal? I notice you have Quicksilver fanfiction and that just about makes my day.
Friend at will! I'll do the same if you don't mind.
Quicksilver seems to be something of a 'fan-favorite' on the web, but he so very rarely gets the right kind of attention by the right kind of creative team in the actual comics. Sad, really - as a character I think he has amazing potential that remains mostly untapped (and largely ruined, from a strictly 'canon' perspective). When he's writen good, he's phenomenal - but when it's bad, there's few worse.
I can tell you right now, I suspect you will not hear any complaining from me - just don't write Pietro hooking his daughter on drugs or lying about being a Skrull. In fact, best to not even let me get started. ;)
re: fanficiton...I have begun to dabble once more. Right now I'm hendging a few subjects to get a feel for the bigger picture and for the supporting case, as it were - but the writing bug has definitely bitten, and there is plenty more itch to scratch.
I was wondering if you'd like me to set up a log for us this afternoon. Or whatever the plan is idk. But yeah. I'm going back to sleep now, but if you would like me to put up the coffee thing, I'm off today so I'm more than happy to! :3

Have you ever written any stories yourself?
