Petal 23 - Accidental Video

[The video turns on and there is Aya with his Abyssinian. Both are on the floor stretched out and fast asleep. Then Aya stretches a little in a languid fashion before settling back down again and lazily opening his eyes.

Seeing the device on, he sits up and stretches again before crawling, yes crawling, over to it. He picks it up and looks down

[That pitter patter of bare feet is Dawn running down the hallway to Aya's room. She peeks her head around the door frame and looks in.]

You know you have a bed, right? Not that there's anything wrong with the floor with the different perspective and all but... okay, yes we have milk. We also have strawberry and chocolate syrup to make flavored milk with. Want some?

[ action ]

[onceaweiss]

That spot was comfortable. [Oh look. It's the girlfriend. He loves her. So he'll be getting to his feet to come over and rub his face against her shoulder and neck.]

Just milk will be fine.

[ action ]

[She starts to smile when she sees him coming over to her. That smile wanes a bit though with that different kind of affection. Confused, she lifts one hand to rest on the back of his neck.]

We'll get some milk and then we can lay on the floor?

[ action ]

[Dawn. That sound you just heard is probably exactly what you think it is. A little mewl.]

I'd like that.

[heelsandlaw]

[ There's a long pause as Cameron connects the dots with what she's seen on the network so far. ]

I suppose it's safe to say you won't be coming in to work today.

[onceaweiss]

I was planning on coming in for the night shift.

[That's the current plan. Sadly, cats do their own thing.]

[heelsandlaw]

Hmhm. [ Non-commital sound. She's preparing for the scenario where you don't come in. ]

[onceaweiss]

[He'll make it up to you later, Cameron.] Mmm.

Check the expiration date on it [Buffy isn't great at paying attention to groceries since she doesn't cook or microwave for that matter. She stops, takes a step back and regards Aya with a confused look]

Calcium deficiency? [Because lack of milk leads to back problems and you sleep on the floor for your back...right?]

No. I just want it.

[Oh hello there Dawn's big sister. You're close enough currently that Aya literally crawls over and starts rubbing his face against your leg.]
