All the rooms given to the Fandom High party are on the second floor of the building facing the main pool.

All the rooms have balconies, air conditioning, and two double beds.  (Except for the chaperones who can either choose to have two double beds or one king size.)

The swans?  Have reappeared.

Up early as usual, Turtle was quietly padding around the room, getting ready for the day.

"Meh," Turtle shrugged. "They're quite elitist, potato shipper. If you're not from Idaho or Irish, you better know how to work it."

There was a pause.

"I am mostly talking out of my butt here, though. I did venture a bit into bananas, but that's about the deepest I've gotten into any sort of food markets. Unless you count Squishies, but I don't. They're not really substantial enough to be considered food."

"I had one of those once," Triela laughed. "It turned my tongue blue. But you're probably right. It's not really food."

Once? That was all? Turtle's lower lip stuck out a bit in a slight, thoughtful pout.

"Did you like it, though?"

"It was... really sweet," Triela explained. "I'm not a huge fan of sweet."

"They're not all sweet," Turtle assured her. "I mean, Sir Snores-a-Lot back there," she cocked her head toward the room, "likes all the meat ones. I can't ever bring myself to really trying them, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be sweet. What kind of tastes are you a fan of? Maybe I can work toward having more of those available?"

....Okay, so, maybe after even just the first day of vacation, Turtle was feeling way too idle and was jumping at anything that was work related. She had a bit of a problem, you see...

"You don't take vacations do you?" Triela asked with a grin. "And I like... tea cakes and raisins and figs and dates. That sort of thing. Just a little sweet, but mostly... flavorful."

Turtle's eyes shifted a moment and she nodded. Tea cakes. Raisins. Figs and dates. Yuck, yuck, yuck, and yuck. But duly noted.

And then she thought about the first part of that statement. "I do too take vacations!" she insisted. "I just...am not...one to ignore a business opportunity when it presents itself," she concluded strongly with a firm nod.

"That's fair," Triela laughed. "Though I don't really take vacations either. I think this might be my first. Or at least the first that I remember..."

Turtle's head shifted, tilting again thoughtfully at Triela. "Really?" she asked, deciding to do that instead of just making any assumptions about why not.

"I think so. I mean, I travel a lot for work, but it's for work. Unless we're on a job we spend most of our time at the Agency."

Turtle nodded; that answer helped line up with one of the two directions she was thinking, and, thankfully, it was, for her, the one she thought would be easier to talk about. Especially considering that Triela couldn't be any older that Turtle herself. "So, this...Agency thing? Is it the sort of thing that you've been in for a while?"

"Yep," Triela nodded. "Since I was about ten, I guess. The Agency picked me up during an operation in Amsterdam."

Which was still not as young as Turtle's imagination was supplying with the whole lack of vacation things, but that meant that part of it might still be the other option that she'd be more uncomfortable talking about.

"Huh," was all she offered in response, a thoughtful sort of sound.

"What about you?" Triela asked. "Frequent vacation taker?"

"Well, I wouldn't say frequent," Turtle said, shrugging. "Just, you know, every year family sort of thing." She waved a hand. "Really lame, no big deal. I did do a roadtrip with just my sister last summer, which was kind awesome..."
