Happy Birthday to a Very Special Someone

This is a lovely post. It makes me happy and wistful reading it. May there be a multitude more years where the sorrow and stress is far, far outweighed by the happiness and joy.

(I laughed at the 'water broke' line. I have to admit that even if he had been planning that, I'm impressed he used it so deadpan and promptly when having been asleep a moment before!)

He's quite clever and quick, I will give him that. I don't think a day has gone by where he hasn't made me laugh so hard I cry :-D

Thank you! He did have a wonderful day, and we're STILL celebrating. He seems to think that every birthday party means he's another year older. Since he's had two parties so far, he insists he's 6 instead of 5...we're working on it :-)
