I recently wanted to know who the hell this Lady Gaga is, so I checked out a few of her videos. Be warned, her music is not good - it's really poppy and unoriginal and she sounds too much like Christina Aguleira - but something about her look intrigues me.She looks SO Vegas. It's way too cold in NY for the way she dresses!

I dunno - it's how "fake" her look is - Vegas is very fake-y, borderline trashy, but trashy in a "money" sort of way. And she captures that perfectly. She even wears "dancer" shoes in some of her videos (you know what I mean, stripper platforms and such). Plus, yeah, you know the brevity of her costumery...some look like glorified bathing suits. The one-shoulder tank shirt was very popular in Vegas when I left.

I usually associate New York with either a more classy, high fashion look or a more blatantly urban, hipster, gritty, punk look.
