He wrapped his arm as tightly around her as it would go. It was true empathy was not his strongest skill but Jen was special in his mind and he did work a little harder at it. "It wasn't your fault Jen. You loved Lucie and you would have been a wonderful mother."

"Well," she untangles from him and gets to her feet, "you can join me if you want or you can hang out here and watch. Make sure I don't drown." When she starts stripping down to nothing but her wedding ring, it's clear she's still intoxicated. Not that she notices or even cares.
