As always when Jenny calls, she is not surprised. Allowing one extra ring to get the sleep out of her voice, Davis answers. "Dr. Davis," she says, full of the middle of the night voice even if she's awake.

Jen doesn't actually know what to say so she doesn't immediately say anything. It's just sniffles.

Davis waits a moment and then asks carefully, "Jenny?"

"Yeah," her voice breaks and she sounds so lost. She's so tired, she's not entirely with it.
