I wish you wouldn't think like this Tara. But then me saying that would be pretty contradictory considering what I've said about my own writing. The thing is Tara, you're really good at writing. Not just your own characters, but others do. I think you portray Lina really well.
It's neat to see other people test their own skills and get it awesome.That is what I think when I see you write. I don't think you should say that you're giving up on it because I honestly think you just don't feel inspired. I don't think DK is helping because to be perfectly honest we're going nowhere with it. We're trying to hard to keep it going when really we should think about stopping it. Maybe I'm wrong but I believe that story is one of the reasons why you feel uninspired because to be perfectly honest, we've squeezed it for all it's worth and there is nothing left

I don't know anymore. I still want to write SOME fanfiction, but not as much as I used to anymore. It doesn't matter as much to me as it did, and I would rather use those energies on working on my own stuff.
Makes sense. I personally think anything I'd put effort into and call it "fanfiction" would stay just a humble entity on the 'net; most of the credit goes to the original creators, and if you add that to a large pool of fanfic authors that never even spell check your work ends up with something of a disadvantagous position. It feels too much like making my work a "hobby". (Of course, this comes from the guy who looks down on his own doodles even though they are fun in their own right, so I might be a little strict here.)
And if it's one of those things that's hard to explain, I have the same...thing. I end up starting and stopping on my stuff on some hidden schedual that I don't really even know. It drives me nuts. Maybe someone else will notice when I tend to be writing and when I don't... I just know that noisy rooms are a no-go for me.
