SHINee to perform "Oppa Oppa" special stage for 2011 MBC Korean Music Festival
As we wrote earlier, the 2011 Melon Music Awards and 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) took place last month, and were one of the many award/music festival shows that will take place in the coming months. MBC announced the date and lineup for their own music festival that will take place on New Year's Eve.
It's now been revealed by SMTOWN, through SHINee's website, that the Key, Minho, and Taemin will be performing a special stage performance of "Oppa, Oppa" (originally by Donghae and Eunhyuk). The song has seen huge success since its launch, with the duo debuting on Inkigayo and other shows.
"Oppa Oppa" was written by One Way's Peter and Youngsky. The song features a retro beat reminiscent of the disco era. With its upbeat melody and catchy lyrics, the song has been fighting for the top spots on online music charts.
To allow international fans throughout the world to participate in the festivities, MBC will be broadcasting the 2011 MBC Korean Music Festival (Gayo Daejun) online. Will you be catching the 2011 MBC Korean Music Festival online?
