Apparently the university counted her years as idols as a Bachelors degree. It definitely sounds sus and I honestly doubt the quality of the program but at least she continued to educate herself.

So she didn't have to put in any work for undergrad? I've seen some online schools advertising they are starting to give credit like this for life and work experience so older students can get their undegrad degree in two years or less. But it's weird to put in no work at all towards your undergrad degree.

imho online learning is so much harder than traditional classroom. idk my brain just is not wired for it. So good for her if she did well in it because it takes a lot more discipline to succeed in an online college.

I looked into it, a poster on reddit explained it like this:

This account provides some context, explaining how she was able to enroll in a master's program in a Spanish University, that too without having a bachelor's degree: https://twitter.com/MIYABI_SaTzu/status/1866496462236078497?t=tn8O66wLgtPytisbo-p6ZQ&s=19... )

As a person who works at admissions for a pretty good Japanese university, I appreciate her will to educate herself.
But most of these hybrid/online international programs, specially when they are clearly focusing on the Chinese student market, are at best sus and at worst a complete fraud. The amount of times we had to veto students coming out of programs like these is alarmingly high… she may have the degree, but I’d be surprised if she had the knowledge to back it up.
