I mean......i think korean culture in general glorifies drinking. It aint on this show for accurately depicting life

Teens graduate high school essentially knowing they'll be forced to drink in their jobs

"It aint on this show for accurately depicting life"

what weirds me out about the complain is that, I watch I Live Alone, and the majority of times when people drink heavily, they're at home and if someone drinks a beer while out, they will mention them not driving/getting a driver to take them home (kian84 at one point even mentioned he temporaly stopped drinking because he was training to run a marathon).

So yes, there is some (heavy) drinking seen here and there but I never felt it was glorified, I think some kdrama shows glorify it more?

Not that I've watched a lot of eps of I live Alone, but of the ones that ive seen, i agree that k dramas definitely "glorify" it more. And even then, again i think it is literally mirroring how actual life is in korea. Like youll actually have celebrities on other shows gloat about how many soju bottles they can drink alone before passing out (like 6) and im over here like i cant even complete two bottles with 3 other people without being like thats enough

Like i get what the article is saying but at the same time they missed a major opportunity to call out drinking culture as a whole in korea.
