i was not expecting to wake up to this news! they’ve always deserved much better than ist and i hope whichever agency they pick does give them what they want and that the members don’t have to apologize for their company’s fuck ups consistently

i don't really follow them, but they seemed busy? like compared to other groups? but i guess being busy doesn't matter if the whole damn group isn't happy

they are pretty busy! on music shows this year there was a short stint of promos for “honey” (eric & sunwoo’s unit track) and it was followed by the bookend single for their 2nd full album, “nectar”, which made it their 3rd single in ~6th months. the promos for their 2nd album were like shinee’s the story of light or red velvet’s original reve festival, if you need a comparison point! but within the fandom, everyone was surprised that nectar was the end of it; it was never released as a full album, just the 3 separate cds (misstep imo)

a lot of their peers have more say in their music & creative direction too and i def think that’s a big point of contention between them & ist. i’ve definitely seen the boyz complain about that and they’ve never really been shy with their complaints directed towards their company so they really must think this is the best way forward

makes total sense! those who want to be more involved in their own music and the way they are produced should have more say, they're not rookies anymore. i always think it's great when the whole group wants to stick together. they must be close foreals foreals
