I don't think he's being overly criticized tbh. And this might make some people mad, but I think bringing up Lee Sun-kyun's death is out of line. Also... holding a celebrity accountable for using an electric scooter while drunk is not holding someone to a "higher ethical standard" than the average person.

Aslo, this isn't just him being a LITTLE BIT drunk. He was way over the limit, and imo if he doesn't go to jail, he should at least go into rehab or something. I've mentioned this before elsewhere so I know I am being repetitive, but in BTS I only ever paid attention to Suga. Dude has been a heavy drinker for ages, and while I never assumed he has a dependency, I think this would be a good moment to rethink the relationship with alcohol.

Yep! People treating him like an innocent lil angel and as if this should be dismissed as a cute and wholesome oopsie is genuinely wild. Like, am I actually the crazy one here?

People are really downplaying firstly how much money he has and secondly what it means when someone with resources we can't even dream about still chooses to do something as stupid as this. This was so avoidable that it's absolutely insane. He is so unbelievably rich he could have paid someone enough money to carry him back home over a street filled with rusty nails and across a river filled with live piranhas and he still would have recouped his investment by the time he put his pjs on - it's not just the crime itself, it's what kind of person he has shown himself to be by doing this. There is no way to sugarcoat the fact that he has crossed the line into "I cannot be held to the same standards commoners are held to" and that's not something he will easily, if at all, come back from.

The BAC was never confirmed and has as much validity as that one supposed CCTV. In the actual CCTV footage he is moving slowly in the proper lane for the vehicle and it is very obviously not a powerful scooter but more like the kick board first reported. So I wouldn't use the 0.227 number as fact. Especially when he was standing upright, looked alert and oriented and was not swaying or stumbling around when the police in the footage approached.
