i feel like source did what, unfortunately, is common practice in idol industry and thought they did nothing wrong. the poor living conditions, uncertainty regarding debut, and excessively long practice time, sound like things we've heard a lot from trainees. but MHJ seems to treat them better and deliver on her promises.

You saw how your 14 year old daughter was living and you still allowed her to continue... these parents and all the adults in these girls' lives failed them.

Exactly my thoughts. First, you let your 14 year old daughter move out and live on her own (in a shared dorm) and second you allowed her to sign with an entertainment agency. And still didn't pull her out after all of this?
Choices.

You can tell these parents are show parents because why are y'all always in business mess and always there to defend MHJ when you allowed your children to live in those conditions??

We've all become wayyyyy too numb to the whole "living in mold and cockroach infested basements on our way to stardom" stories but...actively encouraging someone to drop out of school? Not allowing your own mother to visit your dorm?? That's on a whole new level, those are straight up abuse/human trafficking methods used to isolate victims from other options and their support system and it's incredibly disturbing to hear a relatively big name agency do stuff like this. The latter especially, if I was a mother I would have pulled my kid out of there so fast because what on earth is happening that you'd deliberately keep female parents away from their children? There is 0 justification for this. Minji was getting offers from all over the place, it's not like she wouldn't have had better options? What the HELL was her mother thinking not taking her out of there right away and instead letting her deal with all this stuff far away from home at such a young age?
