Former EXO member Lay to hold 1st solo concerts in Seoul this June

Lay Zhang, a former Chinese member of the K-pop boy group EXO, will hold his first solo concerts in Korea at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium at Seoul's Olympic Park on June 22 and 23

i'm honestly surprised when i saw him promoting in korea. and i guess know it makes more sense that he debuted his trainee in korea also if he doesn't want to abandon the market.

Isn't Lay still in EXO though? He introduces himself as EXO's Lay still.

He left SM last year shortly after their 10th anniversary but still considers himself as a member of EXO, at least on paper

I was surprised when he promoted his comeback on korean music shows, he even released a korean version of the song. After years of ignoring the Korean market when he was still signed to SM he now focuses on the country again, at least a little bit.

I think i saw recently something about china starting to loosen their “anti kpop” law, at least for one specific group that i can’t remember, so maybe Lay’s return is also related to that.

And Baekhyun teased an exo return later this year so I wonder if Lay will be part of it.
