I'm enjoying this show more and more. I can't wait for next week's episodes!

I know I'm supposed to hate to Minhwan but Lee Yi-kyung's comedic timing is sooo good, I'm legit cackling at his scenes. The decision to make the cheating duo a comedic one is godsend!

I love how the main romance is a slowburn and Jiwon and Jihyuk start as friends. As well as the focus on Jiwon's healing from her trauma.

I wonder how they were portrayed in the webtoon? I think them being a bit on the comedic side softens their role a little bit even if they were such bad characters in the first episode. And yes, Lee Yikyung's acting is commendable. I only watched him in a few series and his character has always this chatty and affectionate vibe so I'm surprised he's a baddie here. but He's doing good.

in the webtoon they were completely unlikeable, like literally zero redeemable qualities. very easy to hate

From what I remember from the manhwa, Minhwan was more portrayed as a two-faced liar. It wasn't obvious that he was a bad guy, he acted more like a thoughtful, nice boyfriend and the reveal that he was cheating and waiting for her death was a total whiplash. At worst, when their marriage was struggling, he looked like a lazy bum but it was never "funny".

In the drama, it's more obvious he's a jerk but a funny one. For example, in the 1st episode, manhwa!Minhwan would've never been violent in 2013 contrarily to the drama version.
