I'm really curious to see how much the YG name can still help them these days. If you compare this to IVE/NewJeans/Le Seraffim's output they don't stand a chance.

was waiting for some weird change up or whatever, but the song wasn't that bad? i'm not gonna remember it though. yg has produced monster debuts since 2009, but this was forgettable to me (which is saying a lot because i had to sit and think hard about treasure's). i also don't like the lyrics.

This feels very paint by numbers which, considering the multiple young girls in this group & even its name, feels apt. Even considering that YGE groups run on bravado this feels like a generic version tho. Unlike with BP there's no amazing starting point for them to fall from/fall from grace from and it feels unfair to saddle these girls with such dated & boring material. I'm sure they'll do well because its YGE but is there anything even here worth becoming invested in?? Not for me IG!

the song is boring. there's one girl that seems to be really a good performer, she wears yellow hair/braids at one point. and i know the one name pharita. but the rest is kinda just there. also some of the dresses make them look older i feel like. like they're younger than BP when they debuted but their styling in some scenes feels older somehow

I read a review that says there is nothing here that hasn't already been done by 2ne1 and BP and that captures how I feel.

I'll also throw ITZY in there. The ending gave me strong early ITZY vibes. But yeah.I mean....YG used to be innovative but now it just sounds like something that has been done before.
