Hyosung decided to remind us all that we're old now and shared three pictures with fellow 2nd generation idols Jewelry's Yewon, T-ARA's Eunjung, Sistar's Bora and ZEA's Siwan. She captioned the picture with "All thanks to Siwan oppa, IAC was possible. Memories....".

ALL THE TIME T_T especially as we enter further into the 4th gen which I am not connecting all to much with, but there is still some nice music to be found there. But I guess it's the fandom spaces and such things that aren't as much for me. Or maybe it's just the content... I miss actual variety shows and variety skills (not to mention live singing and such). I am not really vibing at all that much with vlives and tiktok challenges and such things, but it might just be me being my in 30s and finding it harder to keep up with the changing times. 2nd gen was late teens and early 20s.
Thankfully at least one or two of them have been making a little comeback every year since 2021 starting with 2pm. And there are at least solo singers such as IU, Taeyeon, Sunmi, Key and Taemin etc from that gen that are actively releasing music.

I wrote on twitter the other day that I kinda miss the shitty soundsystem of Mnet because of that very reason. You could actually tell who was singing live.

i like seeing male and female idols hang out together.
semi-related: i've been watching some variety shows here and there but it's SO irritating how the popular ones all seem to be either all men or men + one woman.

And I definitely miss gen 2. All the variety shows and the general freedom of them to have personalities that are distinct without being AS eaten alive and all the group interactions that got chased away with time and fear. They felt more human or that they got to be more human while everything is sleek and streamlined, or even just curated into aesthetics, in one way or another.
