I am enjoying this so far. It seems a lot more light-hearted than the first season in a lot of ways, embracing the comedy. Kihyun's OST for the ending is fire (pun intended maybe?) and I love it. I think this is somehow the first drama I've watched that's really included the Japanese occupation, so that's been fascinating to me.
Uh...the scene where Hongjoo almost straight up assaults Yeon was...way more disturbing to me than it probably was to a lot of other people.
Also WTF giving a baby makgeolli noooooooo.
And the poor little saetani girl just...I wanted to cry.
This show has made me super interested in Korean folklore, but I have no way of telling what's authentic and what's been modified for the show's lore. If anyone can recommend books, let me know!
I am enjoying all the brother scenes with Rang and Yeon, and I am intrigued by our villain so far, and I like how Hongjoo is morally ambiguous, or at least she plays it close to the vest. (And yes! More Kim Soyeon for reals. I don't think I've ever seen her in a drama before, but

Kim Soyeon...I only saw her in Penthouse and she was amazing in there as well. I don't know yet if she's on the good or the bad side here since it's still early.
I don't know anything about Korean folklore but in the few episodes that we've had, they've mentioned quite a few already but its not easy to follow/remember for me.
these episodes were fun although they felt more filler already which maybe slightly worries me. the chemistry between the cast is good but not interesting enough for me without some sort of concrete storyline. i am enjoying the korean folklore aspect to the show as always!!
It does feel like there's nothing solid in the story yet. They introduced a lot of characters with their own story that I assume will be connected somehow. Not sure tho when that will actually happen or if they will even make sense. Its a good cast with good acting now I hope they deliver with a good story.
I was rly enjoying it (plot fallacies and all idc this is not a drama I'm watching for amazing and logical writing) up until demon baby so I hope it doesn't stick around for the rest of the show esp like yeon said he can't take it back into the future and take care of it forever.
Do you have to have watched the first season? I started the first season but quit as I didn’t care for it. I’m willing to try this season out bc out period outfits lol
LOL yesss the costume dept doing an amazing job! it helps that we have beautiful people in the cast =) I think you can watch season 2 without season1 but make sure to read up on the characters and their background. I feel that you need to at least know that bit.
