Twice's Chaeyoung apologizes for wearing t-shirt with swastika symbol

After the Q-Anon shirt incident, netizens have spotted Twice's Chaeyoung wearing a t-shirt with a tilted swastika on it. She posted two pictures of herself wearing the shirt on Instagram but the post has since been deleted and she has uploaded a statement in both Korean and English, saying she "didn't recognize the meaning of the tilted swastika".

Even if she did just wear it because she thought Sid Vicious was a punk icon, Sid was just a horrible abusive person in general?? He wasn’t a misunderstood activist, he wore that shit for shock value (even though Nancy was jewish) because he was an edgelord and represented the WORST of punk. Not to mention it’s sickening how people have romanticised Sid and Nancy.

Also fans need to remember that people saying mean things about your fav idols fucking up has absolutely no real life effect on you in real life. Fans should not be praising or thanking her for doing the bare minimum. She is NOT some 14 year old on tumblr with zero critical thinking skills and she is NOT the indie alt girl she wishes she was. This time the shirt is from her personal collection so no stylist was involved. As for the Q-anon shirt, they probably thrifted it while in the US
