They get the most stupid hate too. Being hated for performing like a real dance crew? For leaning more towards theatrical performances? Man, I’m convinced people just like to see robots at this point
I mean I don't see any hate, probably because I'm not on Twitter lol, or any other Kpop discussion sites besides here on Omona. I could see why people might think they "try too hard" or that they're relying on their performance too much, but it's just flat out false, lol. Do they hear Jongho? They're all great vocalists that always sing live even with challenging choreo, and Hongjoong and Mingi are some of the best idol rappers. I mean, come on. It almost sounds like they're just annoyed that their favorites are so basic and lazy in comparison.
I gotta vote for Ateez, lol. Vocalist Mingi! So cute. And then so imposing and fierce as a rapper, the duality. HongGi (HongMin?) raps always hit so hard. Their performance of Halazia was as cinematic as the MV. The fire, the lighting (the hot yellow/orange fire against the blue lights and background - complementary colors y'all! lol very striking) the graphics, the formations, the costumes, the feathers, the dancers, it all created a dramatic atmosphere. Their choreo is impactful while being a little more controlled, so I'm sure they're glad that they don't have to kill themselves like they did with Guerrilla. Their collab with the The Boyz was also really cute, I bet they enjoyed being able to work together again.
If I could vote for more than one then I would also vote for Forestella. They put a lot of effort into it - the drummers with torch drum stick thingies was really cool, and the dancers, and the ~drama. Very cool.
yootaeyang rapping? eat me like a main dish!! i really liked the love killa stage but the camerawork not so much
atlantis princess suits nmixx sooo much better in style and energy omg? they're working that stage so much better than during dice. i really like their vocals and they made their outfits work, i really liked the style at the end but they should've switched out to pants for all instead of skirts tbh. hope gathyou's prediction comes true and that jyp will change up their music style a bit
