You're the only one 1️⃣ Omona's favorite kpop song title clichés: Rewind📼
As 2022 comes to an end, I tend to become a bit melancholic - what were my highs and lows of the year? Do I have any regrets? Do I want to turn back time? Many kpop idols have released mostly wistful songs of this mood, wanting to Rewind, like Wonder Girls, Twice and Up10tion. Others, like Fromis_9 and Jonghyun made their Rewind into sexy, funky up-tempo bops, released a Rewind fansong like Oneus, or gave the song a noisy twist like CIX. We also got sweet Rewinds by Kep1er and NCT Dream. Note that four of these Rewinds were released this year - a true kpop song title cliché if I've ever seen one! But which one is your Only One?

The melancholic retro version: Wonder Girls' Rewind

The up-tempo 90s club version: Jonghyun's Rewind
I had forgotten about this Rewind, but I shouldn't have! Jonghyun brings us to a 90s club with his rewind. What a bop!
They don't want to know: Twice's Rewind
The Korean title translates to 'I don't want to know', and the song is a slower break up song that showcases Twice's vocals well. Formula of Love was filled with excellent b-sides, did this one stand out to you?
The sexy version: Fromis_9's Rewind
Arguably the best song Fromis released this year, they promoted this b-side alongside Stay This Way on music shows, for the last time with now ex-member Gyuri.
The slow sweet version: Kep1er's Rewind
Also a promoted b-side released this year, Kep1er delivers a sweet Rewind, with some 2000s pop song reminiscent talking near the end of the song.
The bright version: NCT Dream's Rewind
NCT Dream wants to go back to their youth in this bright boy group b-side!
The noisy twist: CIX's Rewind
Don't be deceived by the noisy start of this song like I was, CIX delivers a dark Rewind with lower register vocals and an impressive choreography for a promoted b-side.
The fan song: Oneus' Rewind
Oneus looks back at their years in the industry with an emotional song that I would describe as 4th generation mixed with 3rd generation sounds? The choreography in this performance video apparantly refers to choreos of their earlier songs.
The emotional goodbye: Up10tion's Rewind
In this emotional ballad, fans our reading the group's emotions around leaving members.
