Isn't that... a thing from the 2000s? Like knowing your personal colors is one of the first steps you learn when you get into makeup.

It was, even before that, every single style magazine had quizzes and articles with product recommendations that would determine whether you're a spring, summer, autumn or winter and it was a running joke on TV shows even.

When I think about these kind of things I can only thing about the early Michael Moore documentary called Roger & Me from 1989.

There is a scene where a woman who does this for a living calls him tearfully and says something like 'I am afraid I was wrong, I was misdiagnosed. I am not a spring....I am actually an AUTUMN' and it made me laugh so much.

Although the whole documentary is quite sad, it's good to watch though.

This was trending in Korea like 7 years ago too
I remember when I did my Etude House...internship/student/ambassador thing...we had a whole seminar on it.
They were releasing a bunch of products themed around the concept around then too
