For those confused on why he is apologising, it has more to do with the word he used and its korean meaning.

The article then goes on to say he then started blocking people and doubled down when called out so it's being read as a man who is intimidated by strong women so feels the need to bring them down with snide comments.

The soompi article doesn't include the comments and it's hard to understand when you're not a native Korean speaker. People in the pannchoa comments had to explain it to me since I also didn't get it.
