Jessica to participate in chinese survival program, lists her as "Korean-Chinese"

Leaked Chinese audition program script is causing controversy.

On the 3rd, a list of the cast of 'Sisters who make Waves' Season 3, an audition program to debut a five-member girl group, was leaked and began circulating online in China. Former SNSD member Jessica was also listed, however, she was introduced as a 'Korean-Chinese' causing shock.

Miss A members Jia and Fei have also previously appeared as participants in the project. The audition is held for female entertainers in their 30s or older.

Jessica abruptly left Girls Generation in 2014 and her secret love affair with Tyler Kwon was exposed. She later started her own fashion label 'Blanc and Eclair.' Despite Jessica releasing her solo albums and publishing novels, she has been ambitious however the reaction to her activities is not as good as it used to be. Moreover, her fashion label's parent company, where Tyler is CEO, was embroiled is debt defamation scandal of 8 billion won in September of last year, severely damaging her image.

Throughout her promotions with Girls Generation, Jessica was introduced as a "Korean American" but all of a sudden she's of "Korean-Chinese (Joseon-jok)" origin, walking on a unique path to challenge a Chinese girl group, causing controversy.

Meanwhile, her agency Coridel refuted the rumors to News1 stating, "It's true that Jessica is appearing on a Chinese audition program but we don't know why she's introduced like that. We have never written a profile and sent it over to the broadcaster, and the broadcaster also said that they didn't write it."
