I am a little uncomfortable with him saying criticisms of his actions are because people don't accept his blood. People can criticize for reasons other than bc deep down they don't like that he's Chinese.

He's of Taiwanese and Hong Kong descent and korea are pretty okay with them, so this blood thing is not exactly accurate. He has supported one China and just has been trying to get his foot in the door in the Chinese entertainment agencies ala Jackson.

As someone who long ago used to stan hard, I will say that given the relentless amount of bullshit he had to deal with from the SJ fandom he seems like a good fit for this. But I also have little to no idea what he's actually done lately to make people mad bc I'm not really following. I just remember the post about him deleting anti-chinese sentiment comments on his videos which, if he wasn't also deleting anti-korean sentiment comments, is not a good look.

idk he's been in the trash pile since being so gross in roommate. if he's so pro prc (or at least after the coin) that he's willing to be supportive of one-china despite being of taiwanese and hong kong heritage, just don't engage in any other market tbh. sleep in the bed that you made 🤷.

as a hong konger, i'm sick of the rhetoric that celebrities don't have a choice but to publicly toe the party line, especially if you have the protection of citizenship of another nation. it's not that hard at least stay silent.

my take away from this post is that people from Hong Kong are called Hong Kongers and I don't know why that makes me giggle a bit. I don't know what I expected either. Hong Kongese? Hong Kongians? Sorry. I'm off topic.
