The first 15mins of episode 19 was so funny (yep, president of "oh my consigliere") when they revealed the past experiences of our plaza people. Ok, we all knew Jang Han Seo will die in the hands of his brother but I continued to hope til the end for a different ending 😭
Vincenzo really did give Choi Myung Hee and Jang Joon Woo the kind of death they deserve.
I am ok with the ending and I can't think of how else they can wrap it up. Nothing big on the love story part but I'm totally ok with it. This is a drama where we have a main lead but all supporting characters had their time to shine.
i did enjoy the drama a lot, but at the same time, i also struggled with the homophobia and playing gay love for laughs - it was really unnecessary and i got annoyed when they referred to this in the last episode again. in the end, i am not sure how much i liked vincenzo as a character, in the end he was not a lovable villain or anti-hero to me. the torture scenes at the end were a bit too much for me, i got saw vibes (is taxi drama similar in its violence towards the villains in the story?)
the ensemble was really great, had great chemistry and balanced the show out really well. jun yeobin, whom i'd never seen in a drama before, was amazing and played her character so well, but especially kim yeojin and kwak dongyeon did amazing in their roles. poor han seo :(((( his character development was great. kim yeojin's character was just such an amazingly unique character to play, especially for a woman, she is just such a great actress
edit: i forgot to comment this every time but i thought the show's intro graphics were really cool too
Yeah we don't see a lot of Choi Myung Hee in kdramas. I like that they gave this powerful character to a woman and Kim Yeojin played it so well! Kwak Dong Yeon always does well in what I have seen of him so far. I can atill remember his short stint in Its Okay to not be Okay. He stole the limelight in the episode he was in. This is also my first time seeing Jun Yeo Bin. I am also impressed.with her acting and I think she's really beautiful.
i'd only seen kwak dongyeon in my id is gangnam beauty so it was really fun for me to see him in such a different role! i read somewhere that jun yeobin starred in 'melo is my nature/be melodramatic' two years ago which is supposedly a good slice of life drama centered around female friendship, so i might check that out at some point
hmmm the torture scenes were pretty hard for me to watch despite the targets being villains that really deserve it... but i've heard such good things about taxi driver so..
love the ending! really solid and i say it's one of the best k-drama ending i've seen. my fave character gotta be mr. ahn! i also have soft spot for the monks.
I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. All the terrible people deserved what they got. I’m just a little sad about the brother. He deserved better than to die at his brother’s hand. All the side characters’ stories were interesting and it’s been a long while where I’ve seen so much chemistry between so many characters. I’m glad there wasn’t too much love story until the very end. I think it would’ve lost the focus from all the characters and the plot. I never rewatch dramas but I might this one sometime later on down the line.
