Wow, what a blast from the past. I can't believe that it's almost been a decade since these performances aired!

What I love the most about watching old music show performances is that back then, almost everybody sang live. Nowadays, even on regular stages, idols lipsync or use super loud backing tracks.

Hyuna seemed really tired tho...

mte about the second paragraph. i absolutely cannot connect to idols right now during performances when all i can hear is a backing track. idols these days (i hate how i sound my god) come across as lacking personality during live stages and the overuse of lipsync is partly to blame imo

I always thought only the ones with a hand microphone were singing live but the others as well? It's strange because at the beginning it was forbidden for idols to sing live, then it was the norm and now they are backt at lib-syncing.

no it's not the case re: the mics
the company can either way bring their own mics or borrow the mics from the broadcast station, in case of the latter their are provided what the broadcast station has and that's usually limited equipment, so they get both hand microphones and the hands-free sets (? don't know what it's called lol) and the company and the members have to decide who gets what mic
the hand mic are the absolute best for singing live because they are larger and catches the sound better, so the members that have to sing the most lines and the rappers usually get those mics and the visuals/dancers get the other mics because they don't usually have to sing as much and are in charge of the performance/dance parts and it would be inconvenient to carry a mic around
so they can all sing live but because the hand-held mics catch the sound better it's probably why you think they are the only ones singing live
hope this helps to explain a little bit?

INFINITEEEEEEEEE

My god do i miss them. What was happening on Hoya's head. Or Sunggyu's. Nonetheless, Paradise remains a banger and I love the choreo during the chorus. They were really giving these performances their all haha

4minute looked stunning, Hot Issue belongs in the hall of fame of great debut songs.

I was smiling the entire time watching T-ara... god i adored them. and Roly Poly is just so much fun. Watching them always makes me watch to rewatch Dream High, it's such a treat for my 2nd gen heart.

This was a lovely throwback, thank you for posting :D

dream high 1 was such a feel good show, i rewatched it a few years ago and honestly it's still just as lovely

dream high 2 was the most depressing thing ever, and the whiplash i got from season 1 to season 2 only made it worse lmao the worst part about going in that direction is that they didn't commit at all... all that angst potential, wasted :(

Great idea OP ! Shall we watch shows with interactions like Gayo Daejun from 2009-2010? Or Idol star trot battle?
I remember dowloading the entire show and watching everything, even groups I didn't know.

This episode was nice. I couldn't help dancing when I heard 4 minutes, Infinite and of course Brown Eyed Girls. When did Infinite go by the way ? They were pretty big for rookies.

Tiffany & Yuri <3

Why not? I could post it this week-end since it's a bit long. This lockdown is perfect for nostalgia :)

Thanks for the post OP this is an amazing idea!
2011 is the year that I really got into Kpop so this is a nice throwback even tho I can't believe it's been 9 years already!!

Seeing the INFINITE and T-ARA stages made me particularly emotional. Can't believe both groups went out the way they did. They could have had it all. I consider both their discographies to be some of Kpop's finest ;_;

Also, BEG was everything. Narsha looked phenomenal during the Sixth Sense promos <3
