I want to ask something, when people talk about Daesangs is a specific award or all asian awards are called daesangs? like AAA is also a daesang or it's called different? i'm pretty new to this.
Daesang refers to a special category of awards. They’re “grand prizes” that are awarded to the best artist/group/song/album of the year, regardless of the style of music, gender, etc. So basically every award show has plenty of regular awards (best Female/Male group, best rookie, best MV...) and a few Daesangs. there are so many irrelevant new award shows popping up every year that winning a daesang has lost some of its meaning but, still they’re usually the most anticipated awards in every show.

The controversy around TxT is weird, like everyone knew X1 weren’t gonna get it and neither were any other tangentially Produce 101 groups. Reddit is being obtuse af about it.
Was there any other Rookie Boy Group not related to Produce101 that did better than TxT? If yes, they were surely robbed, otherwise people are not understanding how big of a deal this whole MNet mess is.
