I always thought a lot of female idols just used very padded bras but I guess a lot of them get boob jobs too, huh. So depressing that huge, perky boobs are that important tho. And it's pretty obvious most idols have their whole face redid with ps, lol.

seriously. It’s still a surgery that they have to put their bodies through and its added stress on the body, and her CEO acted like it was no big deal. Any surgery can have complications plus the implants can be defective and be rejected by the body. She was probably very young too since idol trainees are usually super young, so her body could’ve changed, and it makes it inappropriate that he focused so much on her chest.

Idols definitely wear pushup bras or two bras at once too. I remember hyuna did it and it’s much safer to do that than go through surgery

Many years ago, during my early kpop years, my fellow fangirls and I could tell which era or comeback the video that we are watching based on what changed in their face (usually nose). After watching lots of kdramas, listening to kpop for a long time and getting more familiar with SK's culture and what's common in the country, we found that even high school girls go through PS. It's that common.

I'm not sure if its a common practice but I've always though that those who wants to go under the knife to have something improved should have a psychiatric evaluation. PS must really be painful. If its the persons decision to go through it, I don't think its bad but if pushed to go for it...that's not a good thing.

The healing process after ps is no joke either. It has to be really demoralizing feeling miserable from a procedure that was forced on you.

As far as drugs, I recently read an interview from an alleged former drug dealer in KR and he said a lot of his drugs come from pharmacies and that it's common practice to just prescribe very strong drugs out like candy, and that there's a misconception that if something is prescribed to you it's all ok and not harmful. That worries me a lot more than illegal drugs tbh because there's way more widespread potential for abuse.

I can't believe that for a country like SK there's not much control on prescribed drugs =(

As someone that had a nose job I disagree. I had a big nose growing up, never actually got made fun of for it - I just didn’t like it. Depending on the surgery it can be painful, but I literally had no pain after my nose job either (and this was something that the surgeon knew would happen so it wasn’t a one-off case)

Loving all these videos and idols not being so damn candid about everything. Air out the industry!

The way some people think bad of a plastic surgery baffles me. There's nothing wrong by doing something to make yourself feel better though, idk why it's such a big deal ( ... )

It's different when your company is saying "you need to get this plastic surgery", though, because then it's not really for yourself, you're being pressured to do it.

That's not even relevant to this case. She was advised, and she was allowed to reject. Sometimes not all idols are against PS, don't you think a lot of them might also dreaming to become an idol to get a free PS as well? Or basically they just want to be pretty?

I can't speak for the idols because I don't know them personally. All I'm saying is it's hard to argue it's completely their own decision if their employer is pressuring them to do it. It's different from someone getting plastic surgery on their own without anyone telling them to.
