I agree with much of this, except I think the 13 years was reasonable. The state had utterly failed to protect him or his mother, and he was a powerless child. The failure of the state is further demonstrated by the utter ineptitude in which the investigation was handled, sending the security guard to jail to cover up shoddy construction/fire safety (which contributed to the extent of the tragedy.) There are extenuating circumstances that don't justify the killing, at all, but do add context to show it was not motivated by animus. And, honestly, repenting and confession does affect punishment.
While I don't support capital punishment, the father being sentenced to death in the show's world was fitting.
I'm here wondering if they changed the storyline towards the end/they weren't finished with it when filming started, because of the concurrent filming. and the fact that they lost steam at the end is sad though, it was so promising!
"I dont like exercising but I had to in order to build my body for the drama. from then, I had to continue exercising (or else) it'll loosen. I wanted to keep that body but overall I failed I returned to my original (shape). I'll have to find it (again)." #Jinyoung#GOT7#갓세븐pic.twitter.com/BgP1Y8zN4j - radeyah (@jaebeomsknight) May 3, 2019
I think it's generally known (or should be) that bodies like that are almost impossible to keep in the long run, not even big Hollywood action stars can keep their perfect bodies up forever, it's just not sustainable (or if it is, it's a very limited life lol).
But Jinyoung should've done a shirtless photoshoot while he was jacked up. The world was robbed.
The writing choices in this show are inane. Some of the direction too, like why are they always shown walking at the slowest possible pace? The writer was both far too ambitious and also had no idea how to fill/pace the show. So annoying
( ... )
idt he looked amazing in the first couple eps as a student but that two-year flash forward was THE BEST thing that show did because the Glow Up was realllll.
I'm like half way through Ep 13 and honestly reading this makes me just want to stop there lol.
In my head, Eun Soo isn't dead, ya maybe Sung Mo killed all those people and set fire back then but Imma pretend the main 3 found out and helped pin it on Seung Mo's dad and Jae In's dad got out and Eun Soo through this experience learned that she should aim for higher than Seung Mo. Oh and Eun Soo's dad loses his job and faces corruption charges.
Idk something along those lines. Maybe Seung Mo's mom dies too, idc about her.
Oop, sorry for spoilers? But honestly I wasn't as excited for the last two episodes as I'd been for the other ones, which is a bit of a shame, but I could also kinda tell it was gonna be a stretch to assume they'd give a satisfactory ending to this based on certain writing choices they'd made...
Shoulda just given us more Ahn x Jaen, the only consistedly good thing about this drama.
oh no worries, it's a discussion post. I came in expecting the episodes to be discussed and spoilery. Sometimes I like reading spoilers first to decide if I still wanna watch it and... I think I'm gonna pass on the last few eps tbh lol
