this show tries to cater a lot to global audience. i really don't understand what their plan here. to ship the produced idols out of china maybe?

K-entertainment is like Korea's second largest export. Maybe China wants to be the dominant entertainment export throughout Asia. If it's C-pop and C-movies instead of Korean it would be a powerful propaganda tool as well as $$$.

where do you see it as being catered to a global audience? I thought the main audience are Chinese fans... they're trying to create a successful Chinese idol group (since there hasn't been any since TFboys)

they have twitter. and tweet in english iirc. and korean media reported it first, before the chinese ones, bc i remember an omona member commenting they didnt see anything from chinese media. i dont remember what else, but i remember there's a lot of info released in english instead of chinese when the show first announced.
