purchasing from yesasia.com

Hi guys! Yesterday I ordered Exo's mini albums. I got the email with the details of the purchase and it said that it will be valid when they verify my payment. I'm kinda inpatient 'cause this is my first time ordering something ever online and my first kpop purchase, and it's been a day but I didn't get any confirmation. I guess my question is, ( Read more... )

You're asking about getting a confirmation that your payment went through, right? If you are, then they don't send out an email just for that, you'll just get another email when it ships out. I assume if your card is declined they'd send you an email about that though.

For me it seems like they ship stuff out two days after I place the order at the longest, unless it's a pre-order of course. I live in the US on the east coast and with the standard shipping it's always taken a week for me to get the shipment. If you got a poster that is being shipped separately though, they usually never arrive at the same time.

So, the confirmation and announcement of the shipment I'm going to get in one email after it ships? Now I can relax.
Thanks :D

Well they don't explicitly confirm that your payment went through, just give you a shipment confirmation. I think they just write that sentence about "after your payment has been verified" because they have to. Basically if it ships, then everything is fine. And you're welcome! ^^

As for the question about which one is better, I'd say that it depends. Before ordering exo's mini albums I contemplated a lot between different sites. In kpoptown I'd have to pay around 30 euros, but I ended up paying around 22 in dvdheaven (which also offered a variety of shipping methods). I'd also recommend checking out ebay from time to time; I got my Sherlock album from there with free shipping, I could choose the poster/version I wanted and it counted on the charts and all. Personally I'd recommend yesasia only if you want to get many things at once and you're sure to surpass 39$ so you can get free shipping, because I'm under the impression that their stuff is slightly expensive? At least that's what other people told me as well.

But I use paypal, so I'm not sure if you can still buy from all these websites without it :c

Well, I guess, all I can say is you're lucky to live where you live when it comes to purchasing from internet.
Yeah, I checked dvd heaven, but there's something I don't understand about the delivery method, can you explain it to me? There are 4 methods, and let's see, I want to order album that is USD9.13, does it matter if I chose the cheapest delivery - the ''Small Packet (Air)'' one that is USD7.68? The one that is already selected ''EMS'' costs USD21.05 is too expensive, more expensive than the album itself. The full price would be USD16.81 or 13 euros which would be amazing!

Haha well I live in Greece, not sure how lucky I am :P
No, you can choose any method you want! Just remember that the cheaper the shipping is, the longer it will take to deliver.

I always got an email right after placing the order. (or a few hours later)

"Thank you for shopping with YesAsia.com, the No.1 Online Asian Entertainment Store. Your order (Number: ------) has been successfully placed. We will process and dispatch your order to you as soon as possible."

Then when it shipped, I'd get another...

"Thank you for shopping with YesAsia.com, the No.1 Online Asian Entertainment Store. Your order (Order Number: ------) was successfully shipped on [May 12,2011], and you should be receiving it shortly. Thank you again for shopping with us, and we look forward to serving you in the near future."

I haven't purchased from there in a while, though, I switched to aladinUS. (They were faster and cheaper... for me, at least.)

I wanted to check that aladinus site, but it's in Korean (or it redirects me to Korean version of the site)... is there an English version of the site? I just wanted to compare the prices.

I live in Italy (north) and I always got my stuff surprisingly fast. Like, three, four weeks tops.

I have ordered from both yesasia and kpoptown and also DVDheaven. Don't like ebay. Some people sell stuff overprice.
Yesasia and kpoptown are both alright. In term of shipping kpoptown & DVDheaven shipped faster to me than yesasia. I live in New Zealand and yesasia took a bit more than 2 weeks (standard is 2 weeks) but since you are from Europe it would be longer. Yesasia packaging is better knowing it's safe and sometime the freeshipping is awesome. And that 3 layers of bubble wraps. XD

Anyway I checked out the kpoptown site. It accept paypal, visa and mastercard. So I assume credit card is fine ^^
You will definitely get a message when your CD is shipped. They might take a while to process order. I preorder my U-Kiss debut jap single Tick Tack. Schedule to shipped on 14th but it was delayed to 20th :(

Yeah, but I can't pay directly with the credit card, but trough paypal, which is not available here :(
I send them an email asking if there's any other way to pay directly with the credit card but I doubt they'll send a replay. :(
