The video explains this cause better than I would be able to. Even if you would not like to participate in this event, I would greatly appreciate if you would just even look at Invisible Children and what they do.
So out of curiosity, is anyone else participating in the 25 event?

Also, what other organizations or causes do you like o_l'ers?

idk what else to tag this, political stuff

I gotta applaud this cause, and I hope that the '25' demonstration is successful. I haven't done volunteering in a while, but I use to be a part of ReachOut, doing work with kids in local schools, I really miss it :(

all of my volunteer work is through key club and national honor society! :D i think my favorite event might be relay for life haha. and of course key clubbers in my district fundraise for ptp (pediatric trauma prevention). we also do stuff like march of dimes and lupis walk and down syndrome walk and a lot of other stuff. i love volunteering and it's 100x as fun with friends.

I absolutely love Invisible Children:

I also participate in the HP Alliance and local DV groups.

IC is one of my favorite organizations. I was a member of my school's Schools 4 Schools club for years. I've always been wanting to do these events, next year I may actually be able to!

the only other organization I'm really involved with is US FIRST, with my school's robotics team. we basically just try to get more students involved with math, science, technology and engineering.

This event sounds interesting, it kind of reminds me of the Vow of Silence I used to do every year in highschool for Free the Children. Is it only for US citizens and is it too late to get involved?

I used to be more active with volunteering in highschool, but since entering university the only volunteering I've done is for a migration peer support group at the Centre for Woman and Transpeople at my university, choir, and helping dress little kids for the Santa Claus Parade. After I organize my schedule, I'm going to try to get more involved with charities and organizations next year.
