hurricane

I'm listening to NPR as they keep talking about the hurricane "bearing down on the big island", while local bits talk about the front being "downgraded to a tropical storm". All I know is that it's not a good beach day. For me anyway. My friend with surfboard in truck is prowling the coastline these days. Whatever is going on, my big airplane will ( Read more... )

gee, I guess that's what's nice about this journal thing: people I haven't met yet think thoughts of me hearing national weather forecasts. It was an idea put into my head as a very young thing that thoughts and water ripples just go on and on. So unsolicited random thoughts like that do too. I picture the skyways crisscrossed by all our human trivia, bad thoughts and kind ones. That's what hurricanes nd volcanos do, perhaps. Shake it up, clean it up... etch-a-sketch.

This morning the sky is sweet and back to the postcard variety of Hawaii. stayed with a friend who is taking me to the airport later. So I slept, or tried to, next to a chicken farm.

hens are all a cackling, eggs are hatching out, roosters in the yard, black snake coming in.... hey can we go hear some good dnacing blues when I'm in New York? Isn't that what cities are for?

Well here in FL I don't always see Chicken Farms.. but you can drive around and see cows all over the place.

I am glad things are calming.

Yes its interesting that people can think of others. I always do... *smile*
