I've always found Toni Morrison overrated. That might be blasphemy considering where I work now, but I've never found her the goddess of 20th Century literature that most people think she is.
The only book I've ever read of hers was "Beloved," and that was mostly because everyone hated it so much at Bethany. I really liked it, more the plot and not the writing style since I never did read another of her books.
I actually Wiki'd "banned books" the other day and I was surprised by how many of my favorites were on it... including of course, "A Wrinkle in Time"!

I'm amused that "Beloved" is inappropriate for age group- WHAT age group? Dead babies? Black women in the 1850s? ;)
