Tonks was finally able to get the bathroom door open after several minutes of messing with the handle. As she was about to step out, a line of red hair passed by leading a tuff of brown and black hair. She followed the group down the stairs until they were in the kitchen.
“What's going on?” She asked over the commotion that was occurring. Sirius was actively yelling about something to which Arthur and Remus agreed. With grave faces, they noticed the group that had formed.
“We have to head out on Order business,” Athur said with feigned cheerfulness, “We'll be back in a bit.” He gave a look to Remus before leaving the kitchen with Molly.
“Don't wait up.” Remus said before heading to the hallway. Tonks was surprised by the kids didn't question as to what was going on. After a few seconds, she met him in the hallway.
“Remus, what's gone wrong?” She whispered Arthur and Molly were closer to the front door, also speaking in hushed whispers.
He turned his back on the Weasleys, “Dumbledore wants to check in on a family. That's all I can tell you until I get back then you may ask anything.”
“If you come back.” She barely muttered but didn't know if Remus heard because Arthur called out that they should get going.
Remus nodded then stepped forward and lightly touched Tonks' chin and lifted it a little. She wouldn't have felt the kiss if it hadn't been for the way his body heat transferred to hers. “I'll come back,” he assured her before turning and followed Arthur out the front door.
