Tonks wouldn't normally stare at people; it was rude and uncalled for (in most cases). But she couldn't tear her eyes away from one individual which was difficult since they worked together. She even caught herself daydreaming about him while at work; good thing Moody didn't notice or maybe he did and thought it nicer to not say anything.
She could daydream about Remus for hours-- it wasn't exactly the hardest thing to do. Whenever she wanted to, a clear image of him came to her mind. First, the lightness of his hair, the paleness of his skin after a full moon, the way he was taller than her, and even how when they accidentally sat next to each other in meetings, she would feel safer.
However, a primary part of her daydream was the scars on his face. Every time she saw him after a full moon, the scars would be fresh and all she wanted to do was take his face in her hands and kiss each new scar. But for now, she would have to do this in her daydreams. She was just his best mate's clumsy cousin and he was the guy she fancied.
