Summary: Within a few minutes of meeting Tonks, Lupin knew she was bad for him.
Notes: I know that the team on the Harry Potter films changed Tonks' hair because of the similarity to Umbridge so I'm just keeping it here.
Sirius looked as if he was going to jump out of Grimmauld Place with all the excitement he possessed. Remus was trying to concentrate on what was written on the parchment but hadn't paid attention since he noticed Sirius' exuberance.
“What's going on Padfoot before you wet yourself?”
“My favorite cousin's daughter is coming over today. They're a better lot than the rest of the family.” His excitement had waned a little when he realized he was in the kitchen of his childhood home.
“So another cousin?”
“Yes Moony, another cousin. Her name's Nymphadora.”
“A bit unusual name, Nymphadora. Beautiful but unusual. Reminds me of most of your girlfriends.”
Sirius pretended he was laughing. “I would give anything for a bit unusual,” he said almost like an afterthought.
“Go outside and tell a Muggle woman you've been in prison; some actually go for it.”
A knock was heard and the pair ran up the stairs to the hallway. A young woman was almost done changing her features. She was sporting purple hair, jeans and a t-shirt with the Weird Sisters logo. Remus felt really old standing there.
Sirius stepping forward and embraced her in a hug. “Hello Nymphadora.”
“Tonks, Sirius. How many times?” She said, a little exasperated as she went to greet Remus.
“Tonks, this is my very good friend Remus Lupin. Remus, this is my cousin, Tonks.”
“Wotcher Remus.” She smiled brightly as she continued in the hallway until she bumped Mrs Black's portrait causing the old woman to continue her regular rant. The trio fixed it quickly before anyone realized and Tonks started to apologize.
She brushed up against Remus as she passed and within minutes of meeting Nymphadora Tonks, he knew she was bad for his health.
