Sex or no sex that's the question.

Does it add anything? Is it sex for the sake of sex? Or does it make sense, add something, contrubute to the plot or characterization?

That's my best advice. If it adds something or you need it or you would be censoring yourself to cut out sex, then include the sex. If you're just throwing it in to have sex, don't.
