Feb 26, 2016 17:40

Greetings omgspnbigbangers and welcome to the March Mix-It-Up Challenge. Yes, I know, I know, it’s not quite March yet, but it’s close enough.

Because the results of our poll a week-and-a-half ago was evenly split between those of you interested in another daily challenge and those interested in an overall word count goal challenge, we’re doing both at the same time with a twist.

What? You say… Well, read on to find out all the details of the challenge and sign up!

March Mix-It-Up Challenge--How does this work?
This challenge will run from Sunday, February 28, 2016, through Sunday, March 13, 2016, a total of 15 days.

At the start of the challenge you will pick an overall word count goal. There is no minimum or maximum, but use common sense. To sign up, comment on this post with your username and overall goal.

Each day during the challenge a new daily check-in post will go up at 0500 PST (UTC -8). That post will contain the day’s word count goal. Daily goals will vary. However, they will never be less than 100 words and they will never be more than 750 words.

Each day you will check in by posting a comment with the following information: your username, the day, your word count for the day.
For example, on day 5, you might write: paleogymnast, day 5, 500 words

At the end of the challenge, awards will be given on the following bases:

- Meeting your overall word goal
- Writing every day
- Meeting the target every day
- Meeting at least 50% of the daily targets
- Writing at least 5,000 words
- Writing at least 10,000 words
- Writing at least 20,000 words
- Writing every day, meeting all targets, and meeting your overall goal!

Yes, that’s a lot of awards, but there are a lot of ways to win. So whether you write a lot or a little, write every day, or write in spurts, you can totally win this challenge!

So sign up here by commenting on this post with your overall goal, and get ready to write even more!

Have a question? Post it in a moment or PM the mod.

Happy writing!
